Simbang Gabi and Bibingka

Waking up early for Simbang Gabi (dawn Mass) is tiring, but it’s worth it. The church was packed, and the choir's songs made it feel even more meaningful. After Mass, we stopped by a stall outside to buy bibingka and puto bumbong. Eating these traditional Filipino treats with a cup of hot salabat (ginger tea) made the morning perfect. It’s moments like these that make me appreciate how unique and beautiful our culture is.

Date: December 25 Maligayang Pasko! Today was filled with laughter and joy. We visited relatives to share food and blessings. The tradition of mano po (respectful hand gesture) always warms my heart—it reminds me of the importance of family and respect in Filipino culture. Everyone had a great time eating, talking, and even singing karaoke. Christmas in the Philippines is truly special because it’s all about family and togetherness.
